Eva D. Bahovec

Eva D. Bahovec is a philosophy professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, the ex honorary chairwoman of the City of Women Association, and the editor of translations of several fundamental philosophical and feminist works (Christine de Pizan, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Virginia Woolf, Simone de Beauvoir, Gilles Deleuze, etc.). Between 1995 and 2007, she was the editor of Delta, the journal for women’s studies and feminist theory, and now she edits the Psychoanalysis and feminism book edition. She is the author of several books, most recently on Psychoanalysis and Feminism: Lacan, Laplanche, Gallop (with Ana Jereb and Lea Madarasi, 2018), numerous scientific essays, popular articles and pamphlets, and the editor of Slovenian editions of several grounding feminist texts, from Christine de Pizan’s The Book of the City of Ladies (1999) to Simone de Beauvoir’s The Second Sex (2013).
