LALA RAŠČIĆ

Lala Raščić is a multimedia artist working with video, live performances, installation environments, and drawing to create narratives that explore tangible and immaterial cultural forms. She is interested in both contemporary and ancient storytelling practices, complex systems of mediated knowledge production, as well as folklore practices and mythology via critical, primarily feminist lens. Lala Raščić studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions. She attended residency programs at the Rijksakademie (Amsterdam), the MuseumsQuartier and Q21 (Vienna), Platform Garanti (Istanbul), and Cite des Arts (Paris) among others. Lala Raščić is the recipient of several awards, including the Future of Europe Award and the Henkel Art Award shortlist. She is a member of the Sarajevo feminist organization CRVENA with whom she administers the Nona Residency. She lives in Zagreb and Sarajevo.
