Lina Saneh

Born in Beirut, Lina Saneh works primarily in theatre. Educated at the Lebanese University in Beirut and the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, she has written, directed and acted in numerous plays, including Les Chaises (1996), Ovrira (1997), Extrait d’État Civil (2000), Biokhraphia (2002), and Who’s Afraid of Representation (2005). Lina Saneh has also participated in a number of international festivals, such as the Kunsten Festival in Brussels, Centre National de la Danse in Paris, Fondation Cartier in Paris and the Festival de Théâtre des Amériques in Montreal. She is currently an assistant professor at the Institut d’Études Scéniques et Audio-Visuelles at the Université Saint Joseph in Beirut and Université Saint Esprit de Kaslik at Jounieh. Lina Saneh was first introduced at the City of Women two years ago through the theatre performance Biokhraphia (2002), co-directed by herself and Rabih Mroué.
