Suzana Koncut

Suzana Koncut is a translator from French language. Since 1989, after finishing her studies of French Language and Comparative literature at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana and studies of contemporary French literature at the Université Paris VIII, she has been translating prose, drama and humanistic texts for the most important Slovene publishing houses, journals and theatres. Apart from renowned Francophone authors (T. Ben Jelloun, R. Boudjedra, A. Djebar, A. Devi, A. Waberi) she translated the classics, among them Flaubert and Stendhal. Recently, she has mainly been translating contemporary texts, also dramatic works and texts in the field of the humanities – including Simone de Beauvoir.
