10. October 2011
16.30 – 17.30

12 – 15%

The
documentary 12–15% deals with the presence and ways of the representation
of women and other marginalized groups in/through the media. The film is based
on the results of the Women’s INDOC Centre researches and interviews with
actors who are dealing with the media in different ways. Through a collage of
different experiences, thinking, creative suggestions for possible changes,
richly illustrated facts and examples, this theme gets a new dimension and
opens up new questions.

The screening will be followed by a
discussion with Lidija Vasiljevic, moderated by Vesna Leskošek (7 pm –
7:30 pm). The discussion will be held in
Slovene & Serbian.

Women’s INDOC Centre is women’s non-profit organization
whose main aim is establishing gender equality in the public sphere with a
focus on media. By creating critical media analyses, researches and education,
we are enabling communication between media itself and its users. Our goal is
to reduce misogyny and stereotypes in media content.
