Flow: For the Love of Water USA

Following last year’s presentation at the City of Women festival, Irena Salina’s documentary film will once again visit the screen of the Kinodvor, this time for one evening only. The film will surely engage your attention, because it thematically evolves around water, which will be taking centre stage, globally speaking, in the years to come. Water has been considered the new oil for some time now and we can expect to see equally brutal struggles and misdeeds in pursuit of its ownership in the future as we have had the opportunity to witness regarding the struggle for oil in the past. Irena Salina’s film makes us see that scenarios of this sort are by no means some distant future, but quite the contrary – it is the existing reality of our co-dwellers on this planet. Robert Redford, the founder of the Sundance Film Festival, once wrote that “Water is the sleeping giant issue of the 21st Century and we all need to wake up about it. Flow opens our eyes about the greatest threat of our time - the global water crisis. It is a compelling and passionate film. Its engaging narrative will grip the viewer.”
