How Does Art Intervene In a Time That Is Not a Time For Art?

The series of performances No Time
for Art
will be followed by a talk with their authors on the topic of the
political in art: How can art be political and what does that mean in a
contemporary (capitalist) society? Where is the boundary between political
activism and critical art, and who determines it and to what degree does it matter
at all? We will discuss the ways and strategies by which art intervenes (or can
intervene) in a contemporary space/time, what the consequences and effects of
such interventions are and if they affect the artist’s situation. Or put
differently: How does art intervene in a time that is not a time for art? (Lana
Zdravković)

Artist talk will be in English.

Concept and moderated by:
Lana Zdravković (KITCH).
