If You Can Stand the Heat: The History of Women and Food

Are you confused? So are we. Every time we open the refrigerator.

We are a part of a humorous dinner party featuring culinary heroines: world renowned master chef Julia Child, acclaimed food writer M.F.K. Fisher, and the grand dame of southern cooking Edna Lewis. This theatrically surprising stage conversation is a tribute to celebrated female historical figures with positive messages about body image.
If You Can Stand the Heat: The History of Women and Food addresses woman’s consistent obsession/anxiety over body/food, touching on the problems of under-nourished nations and global hunger. With an inherited style from the legendary Guerrilla Girls, the performers are hidden behind masks, and yes, there are flying banana peels and pie-drenched faces... (Milijana Babić)
If you can stand the heat, we wish you a bon appetite!
