The Silent Message of Film Music

“In my lecture entitled The
Silent Message of Film Music I will talk about the
various ways music can be used in (silent) films, as well as give insight into
how composers and musicians breathe life, depth and dimension into films.
Actual examples shall be provided through piano accompaniments to some
sequences, together with the discussion of some subjects with the audience.”
(Maud
Nelissen)

Illustrated lecture with piano
accompaniment

The lecture is suitable for everybody over the age of
twelve, and is explicitly addressed at anyone interested in film and/or music,
although musicians might take a particular interest in attending.
