Spidergirl

After a few-years absence, Erika Stucky is returning to the Slovenian stage. She performed at the City of Women Festival in 2006 in a duet with the singer Sina, and the following year together with Christy Doran and Fredy Studer put on the Linhart's Hall stage Jimmy Hendrix. In 2011 she was a guest at the Jazzlent in Maribor.

Although born in San Francisco, she has for nearly two decades been indispensable to the Swiss art scene, in particular in the field of avant-garde jazz and alternative pop. Her every project is distinguished by an original concept, approach and performance supported by original interpretations and her unique vocalisation. Stucky's vocal style has been repeatedly acclaimed by both audience and critics responding to her unique performances at venues ranging from festivals to jazz clubs. Along with Young Gods Erika Stucky is the icon of Swiss music and it's not surprising that she invited that group to join her in the reinterpretation of the pop music history in the Woodstock project (2006). Her arrangements of the originals have been admired by a number of great musicians - we can only imagine what a stirring, inspiring evening lies in wait with her live performance of Spidergirl.
